TM List & Locations

Early Game TMs

TM01 Focus Burst, TM05 Scorch Shot, and TM12 Barrier Pulse appear before badge 2. Check Sunbreak Market stalls, guild rewards, and mentor tutorials.

Midgame TMs

Midgame adds Volt Switch, Aurora Veil, and Weather Ball TMs. Clear Crystal Expanse side quests or defeat rogue scientists in Emberfall alleys.

Endgame TMs

Moves like Draco Meteor, Boomburst, and Earth Power unlock after Chapter 4. Earn them via Elite Council rematches and Mirage Expanse gauntlets.

Hidden or Rare TMs

TM93 Synchro Shock and TM101 Sound Lance hide behind vault puzzles. Use the Item Finder and decode glyphs in the Chrono Vault to access them.

HM List & Usage

Required HMs for Progression

Surf, Dive, Rock Climb, and Glide modules are mandatory. Each HM is now a reusable key item so you don’t need dedicated HM slaves.

Optional HMs

Flash, Cut, and Waterfall are optional but unlock shortcuts, hidden loot, and rare DexNav encounters. Equip them temporarily via the module system.

Move Replacements & Upgrades

Once you finish Chapter 5, the Move Lab lets you swap HM moves for upgraded versions (e.g., Glide → Sky Ascend) without occupying move slots.

Move Data & Stats

Damage & Accuracy

Each TM entry lists base power, accuracy, and category. Sound-based moves like Boomburst gain 20% bonus under Resonance Fields.

Effects & Side Effects

Look for tags such as 'Weather Boost' or 'DexNav Exclusive' that modify secondary effects. Example: Synchro Shock doubles power on paralyzed targets.

Status / Utility Moves

Dual Screens, Taunt, Encore, and Speed Swap are crucial for Elite Council fights. Ensure at least one support slot runs multiple utility TMs.

Compatibility Guide

Best TM Users by Role

Chrono Sylveon excels with Calm Mind + Hyper Voice, while Excadrill thrives on Earth Power + Iron Head. Tanks like Gastrodon benefit from Toxic + Recover.

Coverage Options

Weather Ball gives Lapras unpredictable coverage, Aura Sphere on Mega Riolu beats Steel walls, and Energy Ball Roserade handles bulky waters.

Synergy with Weather & DexNav

Certain DexNav-exclusive mons learn signature TMs; pairing Rain Dish Ludicolo with Thunder + Hurricane, or Solar Rush Houndoom with Solar Beam, creates unstoppable cores.

Farming & Reusability

Repeatable TM Sources

Training Dome challenges, Ferrystone delivery missions, and the Double Dojo grant repeatable TM vouchers every week.

Battle Rewards

Elite Council rematches, Weather Cult raids, and mentor dailies drop TM capsules with a 15% chance. Use Luck Incense to increase payout.
