Using Cheats Safely

How Cheats Work

Pokemon Lazarus uses Emerald’s memory map, so standard CodeBreaker and GameShark codes function normally. Always keep a clean backup save before toggling anything.

Emulator Compatibility

mGBA and VBA-M support CodeBreaker/GameShark v3, MyBoy! supports both plus Raw codes, while Delta on iOS only supports GameShark v3.

Save Corruption Warnings

Never run encounter, item, or warp codes simultaneously. Disable cheats before saving or changing maps to prevent glitched flags.

Movement Codes

Emulator Guides

VBA Cheat Setup

Open Tools → Cheats → CodeBreaker, paste the code, and enable 'Auto Save Type'. Reset the emulator after activating to prevent white screens.

mGBA Cheat Setup
